What can I expect out of this qualification?
Graduates will have developed or enhanced existing skills and knowledge in writing or public relations and advertising. Graduates will have the ability to think critically, problem solve, use a range of strategies for researching and the use of information beyond their discipline, to operate in a changing world in knowledgeable, professional, responsible and productive ways. Graduates will have developed interpersonal attributes and skills, literacy and oracy skills to support academic and professional practice. Graduates will gain an award from a choice of 2 endorsements: Graduate Certificate in Communication (Professional Writing) or Graduate Certificate in Communication (Public Relations/Advertising). Graduates may pursue higher education in communication and in particular the Graduate Certificate in Communication with endorsement in Professional Writing or Public Relations/Advertising or alternatively seek employment in communication roles within organisations with dedicated communications offices and objectives.
