Entry requirements

A Bachelor of Sport and Exercise Science with a minimum B grade (65%) in the third year; or A corresponding NZ Bachelor degree with a minimum B grade (65%) in the third year; or A Postgraduate Diploma in Sport and Exercise Science with a minimum B grade average; or A corresponding NZ Postgraduate Diploma with a minimum B grade average; or Equivalent. Candidates who have English as a second language are required to have an International English Language Test System (IELTS) score of 6.5 with no individual band score lower than 6.0; or equivalent.

What can I expect out of this qualification?

Graduates will be leading Human Performance Science practitioners, capable of working interprofessionally to deliver research-based solutions that strengthen communities in New Zealand and Internationally. The Master of Science (Human Performance Science) is designed for those who wish to extend their undergraduate degree with highly specialised knowledge in sport and exercise science, clinical exercise physiology, rehabilitation and movement related professions. It is most suited to those who wish to continue to a doctoral programme or into higher level positions in the workforce.
