What can I expect out of this qualification?
Graduates will have advanced skills in secondary teaching and will be confident and competent beginning teachers in two curriculum subject areas. They will have well developed pedagogical knowledge and practical experience of primary educational contexts and will be qualified to teach to the objectives in the National Curriculum in secondary schools. Postgraduate study opportunities include a Postgraduate Certificate/Postgraduate Diploma in Education and Professional Development (60/120 credits by course work), leading to a Master of Education (12-credit thesis).

Entry Requirements
Minimum requirements
A degree that includes two teaching subjects to advanced levels and the good character and fitness-to-teach requirements of the New Zealand Teachers Council. Applicants with English as a second language will be required to supply IELTS results.
