What can I expect out of this qualification?
Graduates will have advanced knowledge of politics in New Zealand and other countries, including theoretical approaches to the study of politics. They will be able to conduct independent research and will be capable of sophisticated and rigorous critical analysis of evidence and arguments. They will be well qualified for careers in public affairs, including politics, the civil service, think tanks, lobbying and civil society organisations. Some graduates may be able to continue to doctoral studies in political science.

Entry Requirements
Minimum requirements
Completed a Bachelor s degree or a Graduate Diploma in Political Science, International Relations or Public Policy or a relevant area with at least a B grade average in 60 points of 300-level courses in the majoring subject or relevant area of study (or extensive practical, professional, or scholarly experience that provides an equivalent level of preparation); and been accepted by the Head of School as capable of proceeding with the proposed course of study.
