About the course
What can I expect out of this qualification?
Graduates will use advanced analytical techniques to identify problems, generate and compare alternatives and develop solutions. They will be able to evaluate the mathematical, economic, ethical and social implications of adopting a particular statistical model. They will construct and adapt statistical models for use in professional practice and will apply their communication skills to present reports in a variety of contexts. They will to work effectively as part of a team. Some graduates may be able to continue to doctoral study in statistics. Graduates will be able to work both in NZ and internationally in the fields of official statistics, financial statistics, statistical consultancy and research.
