About the course
What can I expect out of this qualification?
Graduates will have advanced knowledge of international relations, be able to conduct independent research and be capable of critical analysis of evidence and arguments. They will be qualified for careers in international affairs including governmental organisations, journalism, international institutions and civil-society organisations. Some graduates will be able to continue to the Master of International Relations (MIR, VI00A3) or a research-based masters degree. Alternatively, the postgraduate diploma may act as a step-off qualification from the MIR.

Minimum requirements
Completed a Bachelor s degree or a Graduate Diploma in International Relations or a relevant area with at least a B grade average in 60 points of 300-level courses in the majoring subject or relevant area of study (or extensive practical, professional, or scholarly experience that provides an equivalent level of preparation); and been accepted by the Head of School as capable of proceeding with the proposed course of study.
