About the course
What can I expect out of this qualification?
Graduates will be confident and flexible visual arts practitioners in their chosen studio areas, who can integrate their material and conceptual knowledge in transferable ways within their practices and for the benefit of the employment sector. They are lifelong learners who are productive, lateral thinkers, effective problem solvers in the wider national and international arena. Graduands are able to produce a coherent proposal for studio work with associated practical examples and can relate this work to its conceptual underpinnings and its wider community of practice in the field of contemporary art. Course work in research methodologies and participation in seminars on contemporary practices enable them to bridge the gaps created by special circumstances such as periods of leave from study or changes in study direction.
