What can I expect out of this qualification?
Graduates will have the capacity to acquire, analyse and interpret information pertaining to the physical, economic and environmental performance of land-based systems. They will have the ability to work independently, accept responsibility for personal development and achieve the academic standards and aptitude necessary for postgraduate study. They will have knowledge of scientific principles, industry structures, practices and current issues in agriculture, horticulture or the equine industry, and the role of new technologies. Graduates will be equipped with research methods skills based on topics that include the scientific method, systems approaches to problem-solving, survey methods, analysis and presentation of research results. They will be equipped with the research skills to implement projects and programmes and write theses. They will be able to produce a body of independent research and publish results of their findings.
