What can I expect out of this qualification?
Graduates will demonstrate confidence in interacting with whanau and Maori communities, and knowledge in relation to whanau endeavours. Graduates will have an understanding of whanau dynamics and whanau in society. They will be able to discuss barriers and opportunities, will have an understanding of whanau structures, functional capacities and indicators of whanau wellbeing, and will be able to utilise research to inform whanau development. They will have an advanced understanding of whanau dynamics and the impact of policies, be able to plan and implement interventions in a particular area of whanau development and undertake research.
