What can I expect out of this qualification?
Graduates will: understand the role and effects of strategic communication within society; understand major theories in strategic communication and communication management; identify and produce strategies for effective communication within organisations and for targeted audiences, using a range of media; adapt their skills and knowledge to a networked, interactive and fluid digital communication environment; understand communication in its many intercultural, globalising and postcolonial contexts, particularly the bicultural context of Aotearoa New Zealand; reflect critically and ethically on communication plans and strategies; understand and apply methodologies of formative and evaluative research for strategic communication; have an in-depth knowledge of the management of communication in Aotearoa New Zealand and globally.
