What can I expect out of this qualification?
The programme aims to develop graduates exhibiting intellectual independence and capability, meeting the requirements for award of the Bachelor of Engineering Technology, and satisfying the Institution of Professional Engineers New Zealand requirements for entry to engineering practice leading to professional recognition in the civil, electrical and mechanical engineering disciplines.

Entry Requirements
Minimum requirements
University Entrance NCEA Level 3 including Three subjects at level 3 including: - Physics with a minimum of 14 credits - Calculus with a minimum of 14 credits, and - one other subject with a minimum of 14 credits from the list of approved subjects* and Literacy - 10 credits at Level 2 or above, made up of 5 credits in reading, 5 credits in writing and Numeracy - 10 credits at Level 1 or above (specified achievement standards, or unit standards 26623, 26626, 26627). OR New Zealand Certificate in Study and Career Preparation Level 4 Ara Engineering Pathway or equivalent. OR Equivalent academic qualifications which may include University Bursary with 45% or more in both Physics and Calculus or Algebra; equivalent Cambridge score, equivalent International Baccalaureate. English Requirements: IELTS 6.0 Academic (no lower than 6.0 in writing and speaking subtests and 5.5 in reading and listening)
