Prospective learners must
- be employed or have access to a port operations environment.
- be 16 years or older. 
- Be physically fit to undertake learning and assessment required by each unit component
- Have support from an employer to complete the micro-credential and its associated training and assessment in the workplace.

What can I expect out of this qualification?

This micro-credential is designed to equip learners with essential skills to contribute towards effective and efficient wharfside port mooring operations. This includes competencies in health and safety risk assessments, wharfside mooring and unmooring standards and practices, and the use of radio communication devices to support these activities. These skills will enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness, benefiting the industry through improved safety, performance and reduced operational delays.
