Entry requirements

People working towards, and being assessed against, this micro-credential should note that work in the industrial height safety sector usually takes place at heights well above ground level and, therefore, requires a level of physical fitness and ability to work at heights.
Hold unit standards 23229, Use a safety harness system when working at height; and unit standard 15757. Use, install and disestablish proprietary height safety systems or demonstrate equivalent knowledge.
English language skills required is equivalent to an International English Language Testing System score of 5.0 (General Training).

What can I expect out of this qualification?

The Certificate in industrial height safety rescue provides practical, hands-on rescue training. To enable workers to effectively carry out rescues from height of fellow workers from structures that they would be using industrial harness systems on in the workplace.

Target learner group
Anyone who uses or will use industrial harness systems in the workplace to do work in fall arrest or work positioning for example scaffolders, telecommunications workers, maintenance staff, structures inspectors, riggers or workers from the arts and entertainment, construction and support services industries.
