About the course
What can I expect out of this qualification?
This Micro-credential will meet the purpose which is to provide Aotearoa New Zealand with individuals who can safely and effectively participate in sustainability practices, specifically to provide the rural pest animal operations industry with people who are able to use traps to control pest animal populations, while being self-sufficient in the outdoor environment and have essential technical skills needed to maintain own personal safety. The reason for the micro-credential is to provide graduates with an awareness of environmental best practice, so they can contribute to the conservation of our land, sustainability and economic wellbeing of Taranaki and the wider community.
