Entry requirements

Ākonga must be employed in the Primary Industry sector, in a role that will allow the micro-credential outcomes to be met. Entry is subject to the discretion of a Te Pūkenga T/A Primary ITO Training Advisor, who coordinates enrolments, based on discussion with the learner and their employer. This discussion considers the learner's intended skills pathway and the likelihood of success, including access to support and relevant resources. Entry includes the completion of a training agreement signed by the ākonga, employer, and a Te Pūkenga T/A Primary ITO representative.

What can I expect out of this qualification?

The overall aim of this micro-credential is to provide the primary industries sector with individuals who hold the skills and knowledge to implement and monitor a farm environment plan according to good farming principles. This micro-credential would suit those involved in the farming industry looking to upskill in farm environment planning.

This aim is achieved by supporting ākonga with both on-job and off-job learning, allowing learning to be applied in a practical way, across a range of situations, within the learner's role in the workplace.
