Entry requirements

Ākonga must be employed in the Primary Industry sector, in a role that will allow the micro-credential outcomes to be met.
Entry is subject to the discretion of a Te Pūkenga trading as Primary ITO Training Advisor, who coordinates enrolments, based on discussion with the learner and their employer. This discussion considers the learner's intended skills pathway and the likelihood of success, including access to support and relevant resources.

Entry includes the completion of a training agreement signed by the ākonga, employer, and a Primary ITO representative.

About the course

What can I expect out of this qualification?

The overall aim of this micro-credential is to provide the Primary Industry sector with individuals who hold the skills and knowledge to manage on-farm waste, and to manage effluent by preparing, implementing and monitoring an effluent application plan.
This aim is achieved by supporting ākonga with both on-job and off-job learning, allowing learning to be applied in a practical way, across a range of situations, within the learner's role in the workplace.
