What can I expect out of this qualification?
The purpose of this Micro-Credential is to provide people interested in the Butchery trade with essential skills and knowledge that will enable entry-level employment in the Butchery Industry as an educational pathway into a Butchery qualification or an apprenticeship.

Minimum requirements
Entry to this programme requires: * applicants to hold the National Certificate in Educational Achievement (Level 2) [Ref: 0973] or equivalent skills and knowledge. * Minimum age of the applicant is 16 years of age at the time of enrolment (with Ministry of Education exemption evidence required for applicants of 15 years of age). * being physically capable of lifting 20 kg in weight above their head from a standing position independently and being physically and cognitively able to use the equipment safely. Applicant's physical and cognitive suitability will be assessed in the enrolment interview.
