Conduct and Mark Assessments (Micro-credential) (Level 4)

To ensure students' success in this course, the following entry requirements will apply:
? All students are required to have access to a minimum of 6 learners across two different types of assessments, AND
? The assessments must be for unit, achievement or skill standards which have a value of 4 or more credits (in total), OR
? If students are assessed against on-job assessments, a single assessment is permitted if it is for a standard of a minimum of 10 credits, and must use at least two different assessment methods [within the single assessment], AND
? Assessments evidencing unit standards must be conducted in real situations, and not be artificially created for assessment purposes, OR
? Simulations are permitted only if common practice, such as in Emergency Responseassessment.

In addition to the above requirements:
? International [onshore]?applicants must hold the relevant valid visa to visit, study and/or work in New Zealand. Check the New Zealand Immigration website for further details.
? International [onshore] applicants must have proof that, within the last 2 years, they have gained English language skills equivalent to IELTS level 5.5 with no band score lower than 5.

What can I expect out of this qualification?

The aim of this micro-credential is to provide students with the opportunity to learn about the use of appropriate assessments and follow guidelines for both conducting and marking assessments. Students will also learn how to provide useful and positive feedback to learners, and to review their own performance to ensure they use best practice in conducting assessments.

The target learner market will be both international [onshore] and domestic students. These will be people who need to obtain US4098 to be able to become qualified assessors, whether in educational settings or for work-based training.
