About the course
What can I expect out of this qualification?
The aim of this micro-credential is to provide an opportunity for whānau and stakeholders interested in kaupapa Māori community health development to:
- Commit to kaupapa Māori health and well-being development initiatives in local communities.
- Explore and apply approaches, frameworks and models from Te Ao Māori to the processes involved in planning, implementing and evaluating a community health initiative that contributes to improved health and well-being outcomes for Māori.
- Explore a career in kaupapa Māori health including public health and health administration.
- Strengthen the knowledge and skills of existing health practitioners operating Māori community health and well-being settings.
