What can I expect out of this qualification?
The purpose of this micro-credential is to provide the marine industry with people who have the skills and knowledge required to technically operate and successfully communicate safety related information using a marine radio.
This micro-credential will enable a range of people employed in or participating in marine activities to use a key safety communication tool which is the marine radio.
The micro-credential may also be used as evidence of the skills and knowledge required to gain a Maritime Restricted Radiotelephone Operator's Certificate (MRROC), administered by Radio Spectrum Management at http://www.rsm.govt.nz.
