The aim of the Graduate Certificate in Building Information Modelling (GCBIM) is to extend previous learning in construction-related fields (architecture, construction, civil engineering etc.) to attain an occupational-specific set of foundational knowledge and skills in BIM, and the personal attributes to equip graduates to work in the BIM integrated project environment as BIM technicians or coordinators. The GCBIM prepares graduates to contribute productively to the work of BIM project teams working in a building design environment.
The target market includes students who have completed a relevant Bachelor degree in a construction-related field (e.g. BCon, BEng, BEngTech, BArch, BAS etc.); people currently working in industry wanting to upskill; and/or people sponsored by their work organisations to upskill as part-time students.
