About the course
What can I expect out of this qualification?
The purpose of this qualification is to provide the gasfitting sector with suitably skilled tradesman gasfitters who are ready to apply for registration as a Certifying Gasfitter under the Plumbers, Gasfitters, and Drainlayers Act 2006.
The New Zealand community will benefit by having graduates who are competent to carry out and certify all gasfitting work once they have met the Plumbers, Gasfitters, and Drainlayers Board (PGD Board) registration requirements and are legally licensed to do this.
Graduates will be able to ensure both their own work, and the work of anyone they supervise, is performed competently and safely.
