About the course
What can I expect out of this qualification?
The purpose of this qualification is to provide the animal welfare compliance sector with a multicultural workforce for the specialised role of Animal Welfare Inspector.
The qualification is targeted at those intending to enter the field of animal welfare investigation. Graduates of this qualification will be able to operate independently in the area of animal welfare investigation, within the context of the Ministry of Primary Industries or an approved organisation in accordance with the Animal Welfare Act 1999.

Minimum of 48 level 2 NCEA credits in best 4 subjects including a minimum of 14 credits in Mathematics and a minimum of eight credits at Level 2 or higher in English or Te Reo Maori or special admission.
