The Open Polytechnic's Graduate Certificate in Library and Information Leadership prepares students to undertake a wide range of leadership roles within the rapidly transforming library, archives, records and information management sectors, and beyond. They will be confident, culturally competent, innovative and collaborative practitioners who enjoy working with people in a dynamic, future-focused discipline that makes a significant contribution to the quality of the lives of New Zealanders, and to the cultural, social, research and economic outcomes of the whole country.

Entry Requirements
Minimum requirements
Applicants must have either an undergraduate degree in a relevant field, or significant professional experience in the library, archives, records and information management sectors to the satisfaction of the Programme Leader. Applicants who have successfully completed two or more of the following courses, will not be eligible for enrolment in this programme: 72370 Information Issues 72371 Policy and Planning for Information Services LIS701 Critical Perspectives for Library and Information Professionals LIS702 Strategy and Planning in Information Organisations LIS703 Leadership and Advocacy for Information Professionals If English is the not the applicant's first language, candidates will need an IELTS (Academic) score of 6 with no band score lower than 5.5, or equivalent.
