What can I expect out of this qualification?
The aim of the Graduate Diploma at Level 7 is to provide students with the knowledge, expertise and specialist skills in subjects related to ICT, as well as produce high quality graduates who have a sound understanding of the dynamic and changing environment in which IT professionals operate both locally and internationally. The graduate will be able to apply knowledge and skills at both organisational and strategic levels in a range of subjects related to ICT. On gaining employment it is expected that students will transition seamlessly and effectively into the workplace as a consequence of having spent time throughout their study in work based projects.

Minimum requirements
Applicants for the Graduate Diploma in Networking must meet the following criteria for admission into the programme: * Successfully completed a bachelor's degree in a relevant field excluding the specific graduate diploma field. OR * Successfully completed a Level 6 or 7 Diploma and relevant work and/or life experience (equivalent to a Bachelor's degree). OR * Evidence of equivalent practical, professional or educational experience e.g. three - five year's full time work experience [relevant to ICT studies]. AND * Have English language competence to undertake this programme which is taught and assessed in English. For the minimum English language requirements refer to the following NZQA Rule 18 at http://www.nzqa.govt.nz/assets/About-us/Our-role/Rules/Prog-App-Accred-Rules-201 5.pdf Interviews An interview is not required, however an interview process will be available on application to counsel the appropriate choice of programme, to determine whether any specific support is required and to ensure students are well informed about the programme's demands and requirements. Whanau/family will be invited to accompany applicants to these interviews.
