What can I expect out of this qualification?
The qualification is designed to provide the beauty sector with therapists who have the skills and knowledge to critically analyse clients' needs and provide advanced beauty services.
This qualification is intended for learners who have prior learning or experience as a beauty therapist to equip them with the skills and knowledge to successfully provide advanced beauty services and manage the operations of a client base or small beauty therapy business.
The beauty sector will benefit by having beauty therapists with the skills and knowledge to successfully provide advanced beauty services.
Graduates will be capable of working autonomously.

Entry Requirements
Minimum requirements
Students must achieve the NZ Cert in Beauty Therapy Lv4 to gain entry into the NZ Diploma in Beauty Therapy Lv5 or equivalent skills and knowledge. Applicants whose first language is not English, are required to provide evidence of having passed such test of English Language as stipulated in Policy and Procedure English Language Proficiency. Life Skills/Work Experience. Applicants who do not meet the academic entry criteria above may be admitted to the programme if they are able to demonstrate: Evidence of equivalent knowledge and skills gained through relevant life skills or work experience; or Evidence of other formal or informal study at a level that demonstrates the potential to succeed at Level 5
