What can I expect out of this qualification?
This qualification provides the creative industries with professionals who possess and can creatively apply a range of advanced audio engineering skills and production techniques to facilitate audio productions across a range of contexts.
Graduates can apply their skills within the music industry to contribute to cultural, social, and economic outcomes in Aotearoa New Zealand.

Entry Requirements
Minimum requirements
Application by Academic Qualification (Under 20 years of age) University Entrance - NCEA Level 3 Preference will be given to applicants with Merit or Excellence passes in Physics, Mathematics, and Music, or Successful completion of the NZ Diploma in Audio Engineering and Production (Level 5) Special Entry may be granted where evidence exists that the applicant can successfully complete the programme. Special Admission Application by Mature Entry (20 years of age and above) Consideration will be given to applicants aged 20 years or older who do not meet the entry criteria if they can demonstrate a history of work, industry experience which in the opinion of the Programme Managers exhibits a likelihood of success in the programme of study. Consideration will be given to students who progress through other TPP/MAINZ/SIT programme pathways (e.g. Foundation Sound and Music). Applicants may be required to attend an interview or provide a portfolio of audio related work.
