What can I expect out of this qualification?
The purpose of this qualification is to provide the trowel trades sector with graduates who are able to complete specific trowel trade work to the standards the construction industry requires of a commercially competent trade professional.
This qualification is targeted at people entering into or working in the trowel trades sectors of the construction industry.
The strands in this qualification recognise the knowledge and skills required to perform specific trowel trades. The optional strands recognise specialised skills required for some specific trowel trades.
The Brick and Block Laying, Solid Plastering and Proprietary Plaster Cladding Systems strands support the knowledge and skill requirements of the appropriate license class and/or areas of practice of the Licensed Building Practitioner scheme.
Graduates will be able to work unsupervised and perform to the required safety, technical, quality and productivity standards expected in the trowel trades industry.
