What can I expect out of this qualification?

The purpose of this qualification is to provide whanau, hapū, iwi and kura with kaiwhakaako [pia] who are able to contribute, under broad supervision, to the education of tamariki in bilingual and bicultural learning environments through the application of Te Rangakura philosophy and practice.

Minimum requirements

Applicants must be a minimum age of 17 years, have a demonstrated interest in the subject and a strong desire to be bilingual. Police vetting check. Physically and mentally fit. Evidence of support from a hapü or iwi is to be provided.
