What can I expect out of this qualification?
The purpose of this qualification is to provide the New Zealand public with individuals who are competent at providing out-of-hospital clinical care using a patient-centric approach in the ambulance context.
This qualification is suitable for individuals seeking to develop their career within the ambulance and broader out of hospital emergency care sector.
Graduates will be capable of practicing in a patient-centric manner with some clinical supervision as Emergency Medical Technicians in the ambulance context, within a specified scope of practice.

New Zealand Certificate in Emergency Care (Level 3); evidence of suitability based on interview, health screening as required, safety check and referee reports and 18 years of age prior to commencing practical placement International: Academic IELTS 6.5 in each band, or equivalent
