What can I expect out of this qualification?
This qualification is intended for those who have an understanding of mātauranga Māori; and who are already working, or who are seeking to work, under broad guidance in the area of Kaupapa Māori Public Health.
The purpose of this qualification is to provide graduates who can preserve, protect, and promote the health and wellbeing of whānau, hapū, iwi, marae, and Māori communities.
Graduates will be able to understand and explain a Kaupapa Māori Public Health perspective from social, economic, cultural and environmental contexts that contributes to the reduction of Māori health inequities.
