What can I expect out of this qualification?
The purpose of this qualification is to provide the resource recovery and waste disposal industry with people who have the advanced technical skills and knowledge required to work as senior operators and first-line supervisors within their particular sector.
Learners will benefit by having a qualification which recognises the skills and knowledge required of a senior operator/first-line supervisor to enable improved job performance and a credential to enhance employment opportunities.
This qualification is targeted at experienced operators from within the industry, or people with relevant similar experience in other industries who are looking to enter the resource recovery industry.
Graduates will be responsible for their own performance and safety within the workplace and have responsibility for the performance and safety of their team. They will have the skills and knowledge required to provide technical support to those operating in a resource recovery workplace relevant to their chosen strand. In addition, they will be able to identify new opportunities for their operation in the ever-changing resource recovery and/or waste disposal workplace.
