About the course
What can I expect out of this qualification?
The purpose of this qualification is to provide the health sector industry and massage therapy profession with people who can provide wellness and relaxation massage services.
Graduates will be able to work within the Massage New Zealand Scope of Practice Wellness and Relaxation Massage.
Graduates will communicate with and refer to remedial massage therapists, allied health professionals, wellness and medical professionals for those specialist services.
Graduates will be capable of working independently.

Entry Requirements
Minimum requirements
Be 18 years of age or over with 42 credits at NCEA level 3 with 14 credits in two of the following subjects: Chemistry, Science, Biology, Health Studies, Physical Education or equivalent. Literacy requirements: NCEA 8 credits at level 2 or higher, with at least 4 credits in reading and 4 credits in writing or equivalent. Additionally, International Students and those whose first language is not English Competence in English language: those whose first language is not English are required to score at least IELTS 6.0 (Academic) in all aspects of the test or NZQA approved equivalent. All applicants will be interviewed to ensure their suitability for the programme. The NZCM Code of Ethics must be read, considered, agreed to and signed
