What can I expect out of this qualification?
This qualification is designed for ākonga/learners wanting to develop broad technical skills and conceptual knowledge in fashion design creative practice.
The fashion industry and related fields of creativity will benefit from graduates who can apply creative capabilities in fashion design.
Graduates will be able to operate independently in creative and commercial fashion environments.

Entry Requirements
Minimum requirements
Domestic akonga/learners must: * Be at least 17 years of age within their first year of study with Whitecliffe. * Have gained the New Zealand Certificate in Apparel and Fashion Technology (Level 4) OR * The Certificate in Fashion (Level 4) OR Demonstrate: * Equivalent industry experience, (appropriate to the workplace) and knowledge and understanding of current Health and Safety practices. * Competent levels of literacy and numeracy. * Basic computer literacy * If required, attend a literacy, numeracy, pattern recognition, garment construction and/or sewing skills entry test. International applicants must: * Turn 18 within their first year of study at Whitecliffe. * Have gained New Zealand Certificate in Apparel and Fashion Technology (Level 4) or equivalent international qualification. * Meet visa entry requirements * IELTS Test - General or Academic score of 5.5 with no band score lower than 5, or equivalent
