Applicants to programmes of study leading to the award of this qualification must have 42 credits at Level 1 or above from the Directory of Assessment Standards (DAS), or equivalent skills and/or knowledge.

What can I expect out of this qualification?
This qualification is for people who wish to undertake indentured workplace training towards industry trade certification and registration as a manufacturing jeweller.
Graduates of this qualification will benefit the jewellery industry by ensuring there is a qualified jewellery manufacturing and repair workforce in New Zealand.
Typically, this qualification will be gained over a four year period of indentured workplace training supported by distance modules.
Graduates of this qualification will be able to operate to industry standards and will meet the requirements for industry trade certification and registration with the Jewellery Industry Registration Board of New Zealand (JIRBNZ).
