What can I expect out of this qualification?
This qualification is designed for ākonga/learners who are seeking to develop a range of introductory technical skills and conceptual knowledge in arts, crafts or design contexts.
Graduates of this qualification will have developed practical application of knowledge and skills in preparation for further study.
Graduates will be able to operate under limited supervision.

Entry Requirements
Minimum requirements
To be eligible for entry to the programme, applicants must hold at least one of the following: NCEA Level 1 (including Literacy 10 credits and Numeracy 10 Credits at Level 1) OR Equivalent academic achievement OR On a case-by-case basis at the discretion of the Executive Dean. The minimum entry requirement for international students is IELTS Academic score of 5 with no band score lower than 5 (or equivalent). IELTS scores used must be taken from a single IELTS Test Report Form (ie combining scores from more than one test is not permissible).
