What can I expect out of this qualification?
The purpose of this qualification is to provide the youth work sector with youth leaders who have the operational and theoretical knowledge, skills, and attitudes to work in entry level roles with taiohi.
The qualification is for new or potential entrants into the youth work sector, and those currently working with youth who would benefit from recognition of their knowledge and skills in the workplace.
Graduates will operate under general managerial supervision as part of a team working with taiohi.
Graduates will support the social and cultural aspirations of Māori and Pacific people(s) and demonstrate their commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi through their interactions with taiohi and their communities and their work.
