The New Zealand Certificate in Rigging (Level 3) [Ref: 2355] or evidence of equivalent knowledge and skills is a prerequisite for this qualification.
About the course
What can I expect out of this qualification?
The purpose of this qualification is to provide the rigging sector with people who are able to plan, prepare and complete rigging tasks. They will also be able to lead a team carrying out rigging activities.
Graduates of this qualification will work as intermediate riggers who can safely set up and control the movement of loads over distance, which are usually suspended; can operate a variety of hoisting devices and rigging equipment; and are often required to operate at heights.
The purpose of the optional Construction Rigging or Telecommunications Rigging strands is to provide the sector with people who are able to carry out Construction and Telecommunication rigging tasks.
Graduates of this qualification will be capable of working autonomously without supervision.
